I just spent the past two hours looking at these.
Incredibly impressive and enjoyable.

The images with the old overlain on the new are really neat. Kind of haunting and ghostly. It's like the folks from 100 years ago are still there.

Thanks for doing this.

Absolutely love your work, Steve. The boys attire at the schoolhouse( coveralls) is indicative of if you weren't schoolin, you were farmin.

Beautiful home. In Colorado that would be one of the oldest homes in the state!

Everyone... thanks. It isn't that this is a consuming thing. Maybe once or twice a month I'll stir in a pause, or an explore as part of the ride. See if I can line things up. Sometimes I can't.

About six weeks ago I pulled over at Dumont, an exit off of I-70 west of Denver. Most of this old mining community has been swept up. If it wasn't for the backdrop of hills and slopes, I probably wouldn't have found where the photographer stood a century ago!

From 110 years ago. The old main street...

is today's frontage road alongside Interstate 70 (behind me)...

Turning the other direction, towards the south, the Dumont General Store, with the train depot in the background...

Today, a relocated Clear Creek alongside a sunken interstate, along with more forested fur on hilly slopes... yeah, a bit of a change...

Nice job Steve. How's about Tin Cup? I may have missed it.
I have been out to Colorado twice on a bike and I believe it would take two weeks to see as much as I would like.
