Leaving tonight
As soon as I can get off, I'm leaving. The original plan was to leave this past Saturday, but got called in to work yesterday and today.
All I know is I'm heading south until its warm and then deciding whether to turn left or right. I have to be home Sunday night. Six days of total freedom.
I can't sit still I'm so jacked and I couldn't sleep last night. The last trip I took alone that was more than two days long was 19 years ago. There something about being alone on the road that gets me. I remember the way it felt so long ago and can't wait to see if that feeling is still there.
Stories when I get back.

Chief, good luck to ya, man. You're talking my lingo there. I ride out alone A LOT, usually for just 2-3 days of downtime. I got the most understanding wife in the world, and it gives her a little downtime, too! I usually don't mention to any of my friends that I'm leaving, I just take off. Otherwise, without a doubt, somebody is gonna insist on riding with me, totally defeating the point!
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE riding with all my brothers, but about 2-3 times a year, man...I just got to get away.
VERY happy for you, man. Have a great ride!

I get you, Jo. Besides my wife, you guys are the only ones who know. I love riding in a pack, but that's not what this trip is about.

I love to travel alone it gives me time to think.
Start stop when you want, eat when you get hungry and drink when you get thirsty.
Freedom to become one with your bike. I love it!
