Weekend Winter Ride Report
It was a blistering 41* at my house. So naturally, going north, over the mountian where it's 9*-10* colder, is a great idea.....right?
I headed over the Blue Mountain, (Although, currently white and covered with snow.) and rode into Jim Thrope, PA. This is where the Molly Maguire executions were, and the basis for the movie, "Molly Maguires.".

The temps dropped 10* as I rode into Jim Thorpe, as you climb up the mountain, before dropping into the Lehigh Gap, and into the small village.
Once there, I made the climb back out, and through the back of JT, to Mauck Chunk Lake. The lake was frozen over, and people were ice fishing. The scenery was excellent. I was just happy to be out riding. Temp at the lake was 33*....

Even a freezing cold day on yer scoot beats the best day at the office. Glad you got a chance to get out and stretch your legs...

I have a friend that lives somewhat close to Tobyhanna, I am trying to plan a trip up there to meet him so we can take the bikes out and see all of that beautiful area. But, this Georgia Boy is planning on the spring time, it's damn cold up there this time of year.

Good pix, Dave. We had similar temps, I rode all weekend long. Down into the high 20s at night, don't matter to me as long as there is no ice on the roadways.
Good you got that thing out and got a ride in, man.

 It was very enjoyable. I stay off the center of the roadway where the cinders are and watch for wetness on the roadway. Good times....
