watch out for road tar! slippery
Ran into an unforseen hazzard the other day. While on a ride on a hot day I came to a turn while riding thru town. There was a rather large area where the road tar was applied. You know the stuff. they usually put it down to fill in the cracks in asphalt roads. Well that stuff is extemely fluid when hot  After we reached a stop another rider said both his tires slid sideways and he thought he was going down. yeah, that sounds real familiar 
I'm now treating it like loose gravel!! Be careful out there friends

We call them tar snakes..... only YOU wiggle when you hit them, not the snakes.

Oh yea, those tar snakes on hot sunny days are dangerous! Another one is wet manhole covers.

Amen to that! They normally don't bother me, but about a month ago I happened to ride across some. Felt exactly like a flat rear tire. I actually stopped and checked my tire only to find out it felt as hard as needed to be. Figured it was the "tar snakes" and kept on riding. Been fine ever since, but it sure was kinda freaky.
