James Medric Mustang Belec

James Medric “Mustang” Belec

January 10, 2017

James Medric “Mustang” Belec, a member of the Kerrville, Texas Chapter of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, died at his home in Ingram, Texas on January 3.

Belec was born in Salem, Oregon and joined the Navy at 18 where he boxed, served multiple tours in Vietnam, became a mustang officer and eventually retired after 29 years as a Lieutenant Commander.

After leaving the Navy he pursued interests in theoretical physics, computer languages, satellite tracking systems, astronomy and motorcycles. He was the author of an influential monograph titled “A Fundamental Particle of Uniformly Accelerated Expansion,” He was also a sail maker, a leather worker and he had a passion for tying artistic knots. He painted, restored historical photographs and had a business called Belec Art. And he enjoyed classical music and Hawaiian slack key guitar. He knew how to cook and his friends remember his as a funny and uplifting companion

Before joining the Bandidos, Belec was a founder of the In Country Vets Motorcycle Club and he was active in the Texas Confederation of Clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; his son Aaron; his daughters AnnaLisa and Renee; his grandson Brantley Cuellar, his brother Dwaen L. Clinton; and his club brothers. Today, one of them called Mustang Belec “the type of men that are real Bandidos.”

There will be a remembrance service for Belec tomorrow , January 11, from four in the afternoon until six at the Kerrville Funeral Home at 1221 Junction Highway in Kerrville.

Being an interesting man is usually a curse. James Medric “Mustang” Belec managed to survive it for 73 years.

RIP Mustang.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.

RIP Bandido Mustang. Sounds like a helluva dude. Wish I'd have gotten to meet him.

  • Revamp the Election Process
  • Severe restrictions on Government handouts
  • Secure our Borders
  • Immigration Reform
  • Term Limits for government officials.

Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.
