Very sorry to hear of the death of a rider. Rode all brands of bikes some 40 + years ago and only got back into it some 2 plus years ago(now 70) These past couple years have had three near misses of serious accidents w/ autos and still riding whenever possible.
Wife rides with me at times and that is my biggest fear in that I might injure or kill her just so I could ride a motorcycle. Very cautious when she goes and cautious with just me riding as well. Is it high risk, yes it is w/ many of the drivers of autos these days, but as stated above, can't live in a padded cell and besides, don't have much rope left these days and trying to enjoy whatever I can while I can.
