Getting ready to slap some V&H's on, and I was told by someone that I could remapp with a download from my laptop...Where would I get an adapter for my computer to do this...Has anyone tried this before?

where in louisianna do you live, i am in marrero

To remap, you have to buy the screaming eagle super pro tuner. cables, and cd's If you are in new orleans, they weill tell you that you cant buy the cables and cd's But surdyke harley on the web will sell them to you at a discount..... I just bought a set from them.

I have a 96 and just put the v&h big radius pipes, and the screaming eagle breather on and remapped, it really made the bike come alive. good luck.

Thanks doc...when you say cables, does that include the adapter to run from the laptop to the bike? I'm not too computer savvy....

The super pro tuner is just a communication module, kinda like a modem. Your dealer sells it to you and loads a "Canned Map" to the bike for whatever accessories you add to it. They dont want to sell you the cables and cd because if you have even a slight brain you can do the work yourself, and they wont get to rip you off for the programming fee.

THe kit includes 2 cables 1 is a usb cable (* like a printer cable) and the 2nd one is a serial to special fitting cable to plug into the bike. The cd has the software you need, and the {"canned maps"). You simply look up your bike and its mods, and select the map that fits and load it. or you can modify it if you have special needs.

Depending on your tuner, ( I have a Power Commander USB III ), you can use a USB to mini USB cable...It's the same cable as some digital cameras use for up loading direct to a computer.. I have the Power Commander info disc with the MAPs on it...I installed it to my laptop and from there it is simple to do..You just need to make sure you are choosing the best MAP for your application (by looking at the equipment in the MAP),ex pipes, intake, etc..With the computer hooked to the bike, you can monitor fuel rate, throttle position, etc with the bike running..just be careful not to burn your cables on the exhaust.....Blackdog

I Just Finished Installing...

The Vance&Hines Big Radius 2-Into-1 Exhaust, High Flow Drak Air Filter Kit and Fuelpak on my 09 Rocker.
The Air Filter Kit was a snap to install, No problems at all.
The Big Radius 2-Into-1 Exhaust was an easy installation as well, No problems. Although, A second set of hands would of helped with aligning the exhaust to the cylinder heads.
The Fuelpac took me much longer than the stated 90 min. in the instructions. Gaining access to the ECU connector was difficult, Even using the recommended long Needle Nose Pliers. Routing the Fuelpac and the connectors through the tight space of the Bike frame was daunting and time consuming.
The most useful tool was a Coat Hanger wrapped with electrical tape to pull the harness into place.
The Fuelpac comes with Reference Settings for Bike Model, Pipe Model, Bike Year, Engine Size, ECU Level, Baffle Type and Air-Filter.
Programing the Module is fast and easy.
The aesthetics, Sound and performance were all worth the effort. I wonder how much $ my HD dealer would of charged for installing these items?
Anyway, I purchased the three items from one manufacturer for continuity of the products, Plus I liked the way they looked.
