Handle Bar Change out

I Joined forum in July and have enjoyed many hours of searching various questions and several been answered. However I'm stuck. I switch between riding an '05 Softail Heritage Classic and '05 Softail
Spinger Classic. Both awesome rides. The pull back beach bars on the Springer are killing my arms, shoulder, and back. I'de love to get get similar bars as the Heritage, but the mounts are very diffrernt. There is not much help from the major supplier web-sites. I know I need to worry about the cable lengths as well. Any suggestions other than sell the Springer?

I think that you can get an adapter to convert the Springer front end to accept regular handle bars, then you can put on whatever you want, I will try to find the part and post it. Don't sell the Springer, that is the best looking front end in my opinion.

Arlen Ness makes the adapter, if you go to Custom Chrome Home Page - World's Finest V-Twin Products for Harley Davidsons and their part number is 05080, it is a Ness-Tech top tree for springer softail models. Here is the link : iCatalog Full Page - Section: 15. Forks & Shocks / Page 15.16 / Custom Chrome

Yeppers!

Thanks dale0815,

Great source! It looks like I can get my problem solved with this supplier and have many options to choose from.

Never saw one in person but Ness is usually pretty nice stuff. Good luck.
