98 FLSTS Has no spark

Hey folks,
I have a 98 FLSTS that is giving me fits. I was having starting problems so I put in a new battery. Bike ran great for a couple of weeks, then it sat for two weeks, went to go riding yesterday and it wont start. Bike kicks over fine, puled the plugs and held them to the head and no spark on either one!!! What the heck is going on, any help is greatly appreciated..

Thanks, Dave

Check your batt. voltage at the posts , should be more than 12.5 v. The engine will crank over with low volts but the ignition won't fire the plugs with low volts . Next with the engine running again check volts at the battery , should be over 13v . You'll be looking for the volts to increase as you raise the rpms and with the engine running the battery volts should be higher than when the bike is off .
You can disconnect the CKP and check resistance across the pins , you want to see no opens or shorts and between 1 - 1.5k resistance . Same with the crank sensor . Also disconnect the neg. battery cable and test for parasitic drain , should be less than about 0.7ma .

Then I ran it for about 5 minutes, ran perfect, turned it off, started it again, ran perfect.. Now beer is empty, go to fridge get another beer, old lady says take out the trash, trash taken out, come back 15 minutes later tried to start it, WONT START AND NO FFFIN SPARK, WTF!!!!

Do you have a crank sensor near the end of the oil filter? Check the connection at the plug. As well.....have the wife wiggle the plug gently, while you crank it.

As well..... check the connection of the +/- terminals at the coil. The wires that go there commonly get corroded, cause they're exposed.

Check your ignition switch under the dash too. You have positive feed wired that screw to it and if the one for the ignition is loose, ...........
