New to the forum...Handlebar question for '09 FLSTN

Hey folks.

Im a HD Forums newbie, so Im checking in to say hey, howsit?, all that.
Hope everyone's up and running.

Name's Russell, Or Razz. Pleasedtameetcha.

Got a question about new handlebars for my '09 Softail Deluxe.

Im looking all over in the Harley Custom bible, trying to find a set of Beach Bar Handlebars for my bike, but since I cant read the fine print cuz I my grandson ate my reading glasses, I thought for sure someone here would know if those wide, "Beach Bar" bars are even made for an '09 FLSTN.

Those low, wide bars look so smooth, ride so easy, and look so good, (bro has a pair on his '07 softail), I gotta get me a pair.

Yes? No?

If not, any suggestions for a similar look, a wider, longer handlebar for the softail deluxe, '09?

Thanks for taking the time to read and consider, and reply.

Thank you didymuss.
Got some real problems now....much more problematic than wondering if I can find a pair of silly handlebars.
Read my other post, if your interested.
Thanks

I like the bars that came on mine...But yes, they(HD) actually make 2 styles of the Beach Bar...But it won't fit with heated hand grips, hydraulic clutch kits, bar mounted gauges or Road Tech Radio...Price...around $199.00 plus installation and also you'll need all the components that come with it for installation

Thanks check valve. I appreciate the welcome all the way from VA.
I'm glad to meet you. (is it as cold and wet and windy out there, as it is here in the california desert? man, what a wind/rainstorm this morning)

Didymuss....as soon as I get this swingarm issue done with, and get my ride back, I will look a little closer and try and find the bar's your talking about.

I dont suppose you have an item # or a page number, part number, for the bars that your talking about, that fit the 09 softy deluxe?
I cant seem to find them, at least not for the 09, in the HD accessory book.

I, too, like the bars that came stock on my bike, dont get me wrong.
But you know, I wanna make it my own, like we all wanna do.
A small change here and there...own it, you know?
I mean, you know how many black and chrome softail deluxe's are on the road, stock....and they look great. A real eye grabber...low and shiny and just a special model.
But a couple of small changes here and there, as you know, it goes from stock, to a personal vision, and then it becomes MINE. Im sure you know what Im trying, lamely, to say.

And besides, those longer, wider bars, I think, make for a very smooth ride, comfortable arm positioning, and I dont think you loose anything in turning radius or control. And of course, they look GOOD! ha.

Yeah, I would have to change a few things I think. I dont have heated grips or any gauges, (yet), nor the RT radio.
But I wonder if I would have to lengthen my cables some???
I dont think I have alot of length to spare on any of my handblebar cables....throttles, clutch and brake.
Not sure.

Frankly, if I had to get all new cables, along with any kit acc. that come with the bars, I would probably not change them.

But, again, if you can direct me to a part number or a page number???

Thanks Didymuss, for your help and hospitality on this, and my other posted questions.

rubberdown....

For the bars you're considering you'll also need extended clutch cable and front brake line , also the throttle wiring / cables will have to be lengthened and the center clamps should be swapped out for a solid clamp . The exhaust will need to be loosened to get the trans side cover off to install the longer clutch cable .

I would think any bars would fit, check out J&P...many styles to choose from. but be prepared to change cables, extend wiring, etc
