09 Fatboy - Floor Jack

I have an '09 Fatboy and am preparing to store it away for the winter. Bought one of the Sears yellow jacks that has low clearance. Anyone know whether or not I need frame adapters?

I have an 09 Fatty and bought the Sears red jack. I have to stand the bike straight up for the jack to slide under, but, with the base being box shaped, its pretty stable. Plus it has some of the safety lock features that the I may have not seen on the yellow.

From what I have been told (I am debating on keeping mine in an unheated garage or put it into HD storage for the winter), you need an breathable cover, get it off the tires (jack stand) and have a fan running in the garage to keep air circulation to prevent condensation. Also, plug the pipes to you don't get any winter visitors.

My jack works fine as is without any adapters.

Thanks for the 4-1-1. Hadn't heard about plugging the pipes...good call.

Should not need any frame adaptors but would recommend strapping the bike with the straps included with the jack and keeping it relatively low if you are planning on storing off of the ground.
