Clutch Problems?

I am new to motorcycles and while used to what a slipping clutch in a car feels like i was wondering if a slipping clutch on a bike is the same? When takeing off i get a choppy feel like the drive belt is jumping over the teeth on the drive pully. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on and i wondered if any of the seasoned vets my know what the problem is. I assembled parts to build this bike over the winter it has a stock 1340 fresh rebuild brand new stock HD 5 speed and a used stock primary. Thanks in advance.

Did you soak the clutch plates in oil before installing them? Is your final drive a belt and was it adjusted?

Readjust clutch basket, THEN cable/lever play.

What fluid is in the primary? Almost sounds like someone used an oil with a moly-lube package in it, and not the proper oil.
