Wind Deflectors

1996 Heritage Classic. I recently purchased some Harley Wind Deflectors (the chrome ones that attach to the windshield docking points). The problem now is HOW do you get the detachable windshield back on (the angle of the top of the deflector is in the way) after you install the wind deflectors?
