I had bought a new set of Avon tires and after about 5K miles I noticed the same thing. I would pull over and check the tire and it was fine. However, I put the bike up on a lift and started rotating the back tire and that is when I noticed a flat spot about 10 inches in length. It looked like a bad spot in the tire, 80% of the tire looked new with that small section just smooth as a babys butt. So you might want to get the bike up on a lift and visually check the tire.

This may not be your issue, but mine did the same thing and it was the tire.

in a perfect world, no...but we've had a few posts lately about some strange stuff rollin off the line at the MOCO.

may not be bad bearings, as opposed to improper spacing issues..

better jack it up, and have a feel....or better yet, let the stealer look at it.....g

and try this test as well, inflate the tire to 45 lbs and try it out....see if the solid feel returns...could be a tire....
