There are extensions that can fit just about anyone. A friend's wife has hers mounted so that the peg are closer to her. He is taller and has the extension moved in front of the bars.

I have to agree with the Herd on this one!!!! Ur riding not only a beautiful piece of machinery but an expensive one!!! Perfect example: I rode about 111 miles last Tuesday to visit my uncle, it was cold and my legs were pretty numb(chaps are on order ). He passed me in his truck beepin as he went by to make sure i didn't get lost. There was a level, gravel pull off on my left so i deceided to stop and let my legs warm up a bit. Now normally i wouldn't have a problem but my legs were so numb that when i kicked the stand down, it deceided it didn't want to be down and before i realized it i was already commited and i had to gently lay the bike down!!! After that happened i went into panic mode, so i grabbed the bars and started liftin her, had her halfway up and she started rollin backwards so i had to put er back down. Had to swallow my pride and wait for my uncle who had turned around and all i heard was the engine screamin in the truck. It was pretty frustrating but i thank my lucky stars that i had the engine guard and my uncle dave cause i had no damage to the bike at all!!!! I was always told that its not how, but when u drop ur bike so if u can keep the damage to a minimum i say keep em!!! (p.s. sorry for the long story!!!) Jas.

Perfect example of personal opinion. When I bought my Heritage the crash bars were the first thing to come off, followed closely by the windshield. I don't like either. Funny thing, I thought I hated saddlebags but now I wouldn't be without them.

Just put a beautiful crash bar on my softail.
Looks great, makes the bike a bit more symetrical with my saddlebags...if your into the aesthetics of the bike.
And, I can throw my banged up leg out when Im riding.
Im glad its on there.

Good luck with your decision,
Russell
