93 Fat Boy won't start

My buddies 93 Fat Boy won't even crank, we are going to dig into it today and was wondering if you guys had any good ideas or places to start, battery is brand new as are the battery cables, sorry I don't have a lot of info on the bike, since it's not mine, but any ideas would be helpful

Well there are a few areas to start, make sure you have power to the starter for one. also check that there is power coming out of the ignition switch. I don't know exactly how that circuit is ran, but the starter should have power and ground at all times, and then it receives a signal from the ignition to the starter solenoid to actuate the starter. Probably best to use a mulitmeter. Good Luck and hopefully he'll be back riding it again soon!!!

Unplug the green wire at the starter and jump that connection with a wire from the battery pos. terminal to the starter to see if it cranks , if it does the starter is not the problem and you need to trace why the green wire isn't activating the starter when the start button is pushed . Make sure the kill switch isn't off too ! Check all the fuses and start relay as well .
