05 Deluxe gas tank size

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the size (gallons cap) of an 05 Deluxe. All the specs I have looked at says it is a 5 gal cap. I dont know if my gas gauge is messed up or not but all I can get it to take is 4 gal when I gas light is on. Was also wondering if it is a 4 gal tank is the newer tanks a 5 gal and will it fit on a 05.

i'd say 5-gallon. when the light comes on you still have approx. 1 gallon "reserve"

Ride it till it runs out of gas, push it to the station, fill it up and let us know for sure!!!

Book also says 5 gal. and light comes on with approximately 1 gal. left. Put a quart aluminum camping fuel bottle in the bag and test your mileage using the trip odometer. I go mostly by mileage rather than the gauge. My gauge seems to be very unreliable.
