Soft Bags?

I have a softail Deuce and was wondering If I could use soft bags on it. Not all the time but I I wanted to go on a long day trip or an overnight trip.

Why not? I use them a lot on mine.
1987 Softail Custom, stock except for added chrome, and still running like new after 100,000 miles.

I would rather have a set of soft throw over type vs. hard mounted bags that are there all the time. I would have bought a bagger if I wanted that.

Just remember though, you get what you pay for. I have seen some cheap throw overs that would not last more than 1 or 2 riding seasons. Spend the money and get a nice leather (real leather not the imitation crap) set of bags.
All people exist, but very few actually live.
