The local dealership here just put a Heritage on the floor that was converted into a Deluxe if you will. Lowered and true duals added along with the big whitewalls. It looks awesome in black. It also has been totally chromed out and all bags and sissy bar and windshield are quick releas if you want to put them back on.

I just bought a 2008 Heritage last week. After a lot of research and going to the stealerships and looking at all the different options i settled on the Heritage. I loved the look of the Deluxe but if i bought it i knew i'd have to sink money into bags, windshield, sissy bar for the wife ,and all the other goodies like pipes, intake and EFI control. Besides that the heritage's bars were more comfortable to me. I like how they are higher. That is what sold me on it. They are the same bike, but if you plan on riding with a passenger on a regular basis the Heritage is the obvious Softail choice. Seems that you get more for your $$$.

And the bags that come on it, are they detachable? I see on the Harley site that they offer detachable ones for like $850 on the Heritage.
I thought the studs were too much at the begining, but they grew on me and help to make the retro style really pop. Lots of compliments.

Buds Harley Evansville. One of the best dealships I have found. Forget Terre Haute, they suck. If you want to make a little road trip, Legacy in Effingham Illinois.
OH and for sure go with the Heritage. The deluxe is ugly with them white walls plus you have to buy all the extras you would get with the Heritage.
