Well I bought a Harley so what?

I bought a Harley back in Oct. 2011. She is a new 2012 Soft Tail Deluxe. I have added a ton of add ons to her since then. But the Harley dream of camaraderie seems to elude me. I see tons of bikes in my weekly travels, thumbs up or down as we pass each other, but where the heck are these people hanging? Its tough to find like interests in my area. Guess I live in one of those areas that bikes are not king. HHI has tennis, deep sea fishing, golf, paradise etc. etc. I like riding bikes but don't subscribe to the hard core biker type, no offence. Leathers are cool and tats are a personal preference, and I do not judge. To each his his own.

I often see flocks of bikes speeding along like the Swallows heading to Capistrano, but you never see them lite in a place of meeting!!!!GEEEZ where does a guy have to go?

This forum is a good place to start. I also met a few good guys at the Harley dealer's events.

Try checking out local bike events for your area . do internet searchs for ride avents . check out if theres an Abate chapter in your area . go to bike week in spring or fall in Mertle beach . check internet for days and events . were going to the fall event in October in S C . Staying at Brother inlaws condo HO HO free stay
You will find people to ride with and the bars they hang out with
If a 200 mile ride is a long ways thats why your not finding any one or there hangout's 200 miles is just a quick hop for us on the week end . good luck

Yeah, and if ya really want to ride or meet up with fellow enthusiast,(that are NOT drinking)go to a couple of HOG meetings, feel things out, and at the same time, find out where the bike hot spots are....

Or you could just enjoy the ride by yourself or with a passenger. Those are my preference.
