Shifting Rough

So, after my recent "accident" (dropped my bike) when shifting gears it feels very rough like I didn't get the rpms high enough before up shifting. when I accelerate after the shift it seems to smooth out as if the gears fell into place. Only really happens when up shifting, 1st to 2nd shifts fine but 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th is rough. Not sure if something happened to the tranny when the bike dropped or am I just being paranoid. any ideas guys? oh ya and the bike is a 05 XLC
