What Size Threads For Sporty Sending Unit?

Hey all, gonna put on an aftermarket oil pressure guage, and was wondering what size the oil sending unit threads are...they look to be 1/8 pipe thread, but i would like to know for sure, as i'm gonna buy all stainless steel fittings and have a braided tube made to go from the motor to the guage...thanks all.....g

agreed, somebody has to know the answer to that one...pretty sure its 1/8 pipe thread, but want to make sure before i buy guage parts...thanks sonny, g

Yup ... 1/8 pipe , But I would take it out and take it with you to confirm the size to what you're going to buy .
Did you test the psi yet ? What did it read ?

no i havent tested yet, but did pick up the guage and hose last night. i decided its gonna be a permanent fixture...i like to know these things....i should have it up by friday...

FWIW: My 1999 XL manual says fully warm, at 2500 rpms, 10-17 lbs/psi. At idle, 7-12 lbs/psi

With exception of the TC motors, HD has never had oil pressure like cars have.

My Evo is 25-35 at highway speeds and 10-15 at idle. On a sweltering hot day, 5-8 at idle.

It's not about psi, rather about oil just being there.............
