What battery does everyone use?

Lots of info around on batteries, thought I would see if I could get a feel for what batteries y'all use.

I use the HD Gel battery....I suppose that's the one that Dave
said. It's reasonably priced and the one I took out was 5 years
old and still working fine. I only replaced it because I had replaced the positive battery cable, and it seemed like a good
time........I don't like Surprizes!!!!!!
Regards Sonny

I noticed in some other threads that some of you keep a battery tender hooked up all the time. I'm getting ready to hook mine up as riding days are numbered here in IA. Isn't it a bit of a pain to remove and replace the cover allt he time? Or is my ignorance showing and I'm missing a way to hook it up without removing the cover... I have an Interstate brand tender with a 6/12V switch that worked fine on a Corvette, hopefully it will do the same on teh Sportster.

Nice. Wow it's been a while, red to +, black to metal, should be good, "charging" light on.

when you buy a tender it comes with a pigtail that hooks to your battery and runs outside of your cover. You plug your tender in and when you unplug it you just slip it inside of the frame somewhere out of site.

I use Harley batteries. Some things you gotta use from the dealer, I believe that is one of them.
