Reduced reach hand levers for an 883 Low

After seeing my daughter and me ride off on my Super Glide, my wife decided it was time she learned to ride. She took and passed the MSF basic course this past weekend and has passed her NC DMV written exam. Last night, we put a deposit on a 2008 883 Low and did the list of accessories with the parts folks at the local HD store.

My wife is 5 feet tall and has small (yet very pretty) hands. Sales Mgr. and Parts Guy thought some Kuryakin boss blade levers would help her keep a better grip on things. This morning we learned Kury doesn't make them for Sportsters.

A search of this forum for reduced reach levers showed possible solutions for Vrods, Tourers, and Softails. Anybody know of reduced reach levers for Sportys?

Thanks for any and all help.

I didnt have much luck, searching for a reduced reach clutch lever.

However, you could simply add a tad more free play into the lever, and that would cost you nothing, and still maintain a properly working clutch, as long as is was within reason. The bike already has a reduced pull clutch kit in it, to make the lever work about 14% easier then models prior to 2006.

The reason you're having such bad luck, is because in 2008, HD started using Brembo master cylinders and the levers have ben redesigned, including the touring series, so new parts will have to come out, however slow it's happening......
