What mods you got planned for this winter?
Yup, it's gettin cold out. I hate the cold weather like nothin else so I dunno how much longer I'll be able to take the bike out.
So, what mods do you have planned for your sportster over the winter? These are some of the things I'm thinkin about..
Mini Ape Handlebars- prob 12"
-wanna change somethin with my air intake.. not sure yet
-replace headlight with custom mounted to lower fork stabilizer, remove brow
-relocate coil and ignition- custom short plug wires
-turn signal relocation
-tank lift
-lowering block
-gas cap- not sure which kind yet
-grips and pegs.. dunno which ones yet
-maybe some powdercoating on some parts

Man, that's a good list.. I like Dave's mod too. But I'm starting to like the bare look of the air filter without a cover.. just the bare mechanical look.
My bike is blue.. and I thought about painting too, but I dunno how much that would cost. I'd rather get rid of my stock bars and put on something to straighten my back out a little.
I also like the fork brace idea and maybe even some new fork springs.. the stockers aren't so great. Man, the money adds up fast though..

wish Utah was close to Maryland.. I'd throw some cash to ya for a paint job in a heartbeat
I'm not sure about the bars yet. I'm thinking just the HD Mini apes which are just like $69 bucks. Then again, I'll need HDs expensive cables.. so I keep hearing these guys names thrown around.. everything in a kit custom for your particular order

i hear ya, but your so close to dean, ya really should give him a shout, and see if he'll make a deal for ya, he's the paint man....
i really thought about apes after i got my sporty, but i decided on the drag bars, and for me, they work best....my shoulder got worked on a couple years back, and i cant do the ape thing...it hurts....
by the way, that bottom link on your sig line has a trojan virus attached....i tried to open it, and the virus attacked my proxy server...it's all good, just thought you might like to know....

a virus? wha? It's just a website.. a blog that I wrote. I don't even know where a virus would come from on there. I just clicked on it multiple times and it just links me to my website.
