Maybe for the sake of fairness could you make us a list of Harley's "heritage" to compare? Please educate us about Harley's history of oil leaks and vibration issues please. Inquiring minds want to know. Although, I really wish I owned a Harley.

Know the heritage of the bike you're talking about, then come and argue.

Clap, clap, clap. Great first post. On an HD forum, no less.

Not to mention, the original poster posted a "Dyna" question, in the "Sportster" section.....

Yes.....please.........by all means, buy a Triumph.

Triumph's greatest achievements, and currently can be seen today:

1.) Leaking Amal Carbs spewing fuel all over the engine from vertical float bowl gaskets.

2.) Leaking petcocks constantly doing the same.

3.) Vibration so bad that you needed to wrench everything after every trip or stuff would simply fall off while riding.

4.) Vibration so bad that your hands and arms ached after medium rides.

5.) Mysterious Lucas electrical problems resulting in long walks home.

6.) Constantly needing to adjust contact points… with a matchbook cover.

7.) Spark plugs loading up with carbon and soot every month of riding.

8.) Engines needing total rebuilds after only 8 to 10 thousand miles.

9.) Less Horsepower than you have on a new Triumph.

10.) Less torque than you have on a new Triumph.

11.) Oil leaks, oil leaks, oil leaks…

Ahhhhhh the memories!

If that's all you got............... pa-lease.

Vibration is the best you can do?

Try not to win wars off "hearsay" and bring up some experience. Not just from your 200_ Triumph, but maybe a little historical experience.

Oh....I forgot. You have none.

Agreed.

I restored 2 vintage Triumphs, one BSA and one Norton. I can speak from experience. Not to mention the 1974 HD, the 1972, the 1988 and the 1995 HD that I've built, ridden and owned.

Your new, dealer bought and maintained Triumph must be really be giving you lots of experiences, huh?

No room for people that come here to just cause problems.

Yep....another thread is going no where...............
