New 883 Iron Questions

After 8+ years of riding crotch rockets I have decided to make the switch to HD. I have asked the opinions of several friends who have been riding for as long as I have been alive, and have received mixed opinions.

I really like the look of the Sportster 883 Iron, but I have a few concerns.
1. I'm 5'11 and 200lbs. I'm not Andre the Giant, but I'm no smurf. Will I look out of place riding a sportster?

2. After years of riding sport bikes will the 883 have enough power for me? I will be test riding the 883 prior to purchase, just looking for others advice.

3. How comfortable will this bike be after 2+ hours of riding?

I really like the Softail Rocker & Night Train, however it's more than I want to spend. Thanks in advance for the advice.

You sit on a sportster, you sit in a softail. The sporty is a little lighter but the softail feels lighter to ride (just my opion). Go test ride all 3 at the dealership, sleep on it, then go buy what your soul tells you. Stock Harleys dont have much power, plan on breather and exaust upgrades to get the power you are lookin for.

Im 5-11 180 # and the 883 sporty feels good to me but you will need the adjustable hwy pegs to get comfortable otherwise it will feel like your knees are hitting your chin. i love the sportys but, think id go with the superglide .

883,,,soon to be upgraded to the 1200 ,,,still has the 883 lower gears,,hmmm buzzy on the Big road. My 08 1200R Turns 3500 RPM at 75 MPH. You Could Tour on a sporty I guess ,,with a softer seat I could,,,No my Roadster is not going to be on any tour's,,for that I would want a Full size,,Like my salesman asked me, ask your self.
What do I want to do with the bike ? XD
6ft 195 lbs The roadster is not a "Low" model" standard controls,,fits me perfect,,,
Oh and get ready to turn heads,,was watching people as various bikes moved about,,some glanced at the rice,, All turned to look at the Harely

I wish they made the same 883 Iron look in a 1200 straight from the factory. Does anyone know if HD plans to do this next year?
