Question for those who bought their bikes new

For those who bought their bikes brand new how many miles did you wait until you changed out the break in fluids to normal. manual says 1000 miles if I remember correctly. Did you actually wait that long?

I did. I had the dealer do the first service at about 1100 miles. I was on a road trip and just knocked it out when I could.

500 miles for me, 1000 just seemed too long. I also wanted to check all fluids for wear indicators.

1000 +or - 25 for me, and I had the dealer do it and check everything. I have done all the rest on schedule myself. 25,000 now, zero problems.
