Low battery voltage

So after I fixed my exhaust issue im having this problem.

After I ride the bike for a bit if I come up to a light and stop the check engine/battery light come on. When I start to drive again they go away. Its just when I am sitting still.

It comes up as P0562.

Its going into the shop for an oil change anyways on saturday and its still under warranty but Im just wondering if its something simple.

oh also I don't use a trickle charger or anything which i know i should and it hasn't had any problems starting.

Are you sure it's the check engine light, and not the oil light? If the engine is idling a little slow the oil light can come on.

I've been reading a lot of stuff on other forums that makes it sound like the battery regulator. Ill let you all know on sunday what the stealership finds

Cool The Battery Lesson

This Lesson comes from an 8 month old battery that started behaving like my original
3 year old battery In my 2008 1200R.
The Bike would start But that first engine roll over was slow. Sounded like I had some
super hi compression setup.

Battery,,,8 months old HD AGM Mat,,,Has lived on the tender,,750ma
The HD AGM Mat batteries are very good compaired to most out there.
All makes have a rate of failure, even $200 dollar models..
My Bike Is riddin most weekends..
I Used my home made Kit analog meter and My Home made Kit Digital Vom.
(accuracy of the analog,,,+- 5% give er take)

Resting off tender for three days,
Analog 12.5VDC
Digital 12.75VDC

Key On,,lights n all,
Analog 12.0
Digital 12.35

While cranking:
7.0 VDC,,,,,,,,,,VERY BAD

Ok the above Battery passed a "OUT OF BIKE" load test.
Got ahold of my "trusted" HD wrench at HD..This Guy Is the Sporty guru.
He retested, It passed a second load test,,,He stuck It In a sporty,,,FAILED,,7.0 VDC
while slow starting.

New HD AGM Mat battery
Still out of the bike:
analog 12.5VDC
Digital 13.02VDC,,,Odd I know

Key On:
analog 12.0
Digital 12.35

While Cranking
analog 10.0
Digital 10.5

My Wrench said a out of bike load test cannot simulate an In bike crank completly.

BTW the Bike spins up Kick ass fast now.

The Game Is how fast I can Bump the start button,
One revolution Is all It takes,XD

During cranking the battery should remain above 10 Volts
A partially shorted plate I musta had,,
It would have left me stranded in the near future,,

WELL...

It wont start. Luckily I have road side assistance with my insurance and had it towed to HD. They're looking into it now. Should know by tomorrow. Seems to be following the signs and symptoms of a bad regulator.

Bad battery regulator. Apparently a lot of the 2012's are having this problem because there are 6 or 7 other bikes in the shop with the same problem. Parts are back ordered til later this week or early next so it just has to sit... Got to love these problems on a 3 month old bike...
