Jumpy throttle over bumps

i have 8 harleys and i know exactually what you are talking about on one of mine > its a 2008 1200 custom sportster and it is fly bye wire >fuel injected .out of all my bikes its the worst one to ride any bumps in the road and its like riding a bucking bronco !! and it dont make any difference how ya hold the damn grips. its the worst harley i have ever owned so as you can imagine i dont ride it much i think it has about 1300 miles on it.my 2011 Dyna and my 2010 ultra are fly bye the wire and they dont do it .i think its just the sportsters are so much lighter and real touchy as far as injected goes . if i decide to sell one that will be the 1st to giddy up go and be gone .Harley Dropped the ball on that model

Don't think he knows what "fly by wire" means. He sems to just mean fuel injected.

well ok so its not fly bye wire i figured that ment fuel injected in your Lingo guess not but it is fuel injected and sorry but i do have * Harleys a 2010 ultra > 2008 Ultra > 2004 1200 Roadster>1200 sportster custom> 2011 Dyna superglide> a Donnie Smith superX custom softail >a 2007 Santee ridgid ohhh and dont wanna forget my ole girl 1986 Fxr so guess its not fly bye the wire its fly bye my wallet hahaha

I think the problem is not the model but how you hold your grip and the location of the grips. For instance, I had an issue with this with the stock bars, changed to apes now I don't have that issue. ANY and EVERY bike that is run by a throttle cable will jump if you don't loosen your grip when going over bumps. It's done it to me on Road Kings and sporty's.

might be sooooooooo but with the injected model i have it rides like shit if i take out my other sporty same engine 1200 but its carburated and no bucking broncho rides like a sportster is supposed too so as you see i have 2 to compare the ride too a 2004 carb model and this 2008 injected they ride like 2 totally different bikes and not to be a smart ass but i hold the grips the same way

ohh and forgot to metion the 2004 carb sporty has maybe 2500 miles and the injected has maybe 1300 so i find it hard to believe its in the way i hold my grip LOl i have also a 2011 dyna now thats injected too and also a 2010 ultra classic and thats injected and a 2008 ultra classic could i be just holding the throttle wrong on one lol
