@Chief. The dealer was sick of me calling and coming by the shop to check on the progress. I had the bike there for 5 weeks total out of which they worked on it for 2 hours. At one point when they bike would puke blue smoke fromr the carb and it would backfire I was told by 4 guys there 1 manager 1 front desk and 2 techs that I dont know what I am talking about and this is the way the bike runs and it's all good. After the 3rd time at the shop they just pushed the bike out and said here take it its all good (with a nasty tone in their voice) I paid 500+ bucks for the repairs and ended up with a boat anchor. Sick just sick. I was so upset with HD that I was going to sell the bike and get a Honda - glad I didn't. I lost two months of riding weather and no one is going to give it back to me. I am just glad to meet Schmidty and all of you. I guess that City Limit Harley in Palatine, IL will get their payback one day. I know for sure that I am not going to stop writing negative reviews for this shop. Even the GM kept telling me that my bike is good and it is me that don't know what I am talking about (just in a nice typical sales guy way).

I don't begin to know how to test a coil, but how does a shop let that bike out the door with so many problems that you're able to find so competently? Seriously, I'm not buttering your muffin, I just don't understand HOW MUCH more competent you are than a shop full of certified HD mechanics?
I'm not trying to insult those other guys either. I'm trying to understand how their hands are up in the air and you find four problems, three of which should be pretty easy to catch? Right?
Anyway, this seņor is for you, SCHMIDTYS.

Well... One thing is that I have the luxury of TIME on my side ! If you'll notice I've had the bike for 6 days, the shops can't get away with that. The shops have to move the metal and can't tie mechanics up for days at a time. I'm not making excuses for the shops, just saying.
Final say comes from the service desk.

So much suck, man. Glad you kept the bike. It's not the bikes fault that these guys are ass splatter.
I'd make sure that the GM knows what you found as well as corporate. I don't care about spitefully trying to get people in trouble, but if someone cares enough to remedy their incompetence and attitude of rampant asshattery, it'll help future riders.
Ballsy to travel so far for SCHMIDTYS expertise, but clearly a sage move man.

You are a generous and humble genius, man. Thanks for bringing a brother some peace.
(Now, I am fluffing your pillows a little.)

I sure am glad I did. God bless America and Schmidty. Schmidty what do you think about this new module? Do you think it will last a bit? the previous owner said he had to change the OEM module because his bike had issues starting. Anyways I didn't know what to expect when I was bringing the bike to Schmidty's I dont know the shop or they guy. This man knows what he is doing. Lets not praise him more because he will blow up and my bike will stop running. Hahaha.

The real kicker is that the same guy that owns city limits also owns Wildfire in Villa Park, Fox River in St. Charles, and Illinois Harley in Countryside. That seriously limits our dealer pool.
I tried switching to Heritage in Lisle, but they are even bigger pricks.
My dad just bought a new bike from McHenry (same owners as Woodstock) and had an absolutely amazing experience.

A buddy of mine lives close to Woodstock and he is very happy with their service. But Palatine and Glenview are the closest. I went to the one in Glenview for rocker box gasket change, they ketp the bike for 10 days but did a good job. I though that Palatine would be a bit faster and still do a good job. The rest is history.
