Alternative to Forward Controls
So I have the stock mid controls on my bike now and I really dont have a problem with them. Its just when I ride for more than an hour I'd like to have something to kick my legs out to(i'm 6'2). I really dont want forward controls or an engine guard. Is there anything else I could do to stick my legs out on extended rides?

you are 6'2" and you DON'T want forward controls?!?!? Dude I can't ride for more than 15 minutes with anything other than forward controls. my dad's sporty had mids and an engine guard with highway pegs but I hated having to switch back and forth. When I got my 1200C one of my favorite things is that it had forward controls. But to each his own. Since you don't want forwards and you don't want an engine guard the only thing I can think of is the mustache bar like Squeekie posted about.

So you're looking for forward pegs? My Fatboy has a system where you can mount bars to the stock running boards that give you forward pegs. they are adjustable in a number of ways. The set I have wouldn't fit your bike but the manufacturer. might make a set for yours. I'll try to find out who made them and let you know. I got mine at a parts swap.

For what it's worth I'm 6'2", and I can't stand forward controls. My bike is a SG with mid controls. For most of my riding I really like them because I feel like I have more control. It feels like I can handle curves WAY better. I do tend to ride it like a rental car though.
With that said I am looking for a highway beg of some sort. I think I will be getting the fatory HD mounts for those times I just want to put my feet up.

The best bike I had for long distance comfort had mid controls with highway pegs.

Of course it is an FXR....
And the most comfortable way to ride is mid pegs and highway pegs. I will never understand the whole forward controls popularity
