How soon is too soon?

I have about 400 miles on my new '13 1200C.
In my possession are my V&H slip-ons, SE intake and xied 02 plug in.
Is the consensus here that it is too soon to install these parts?
I feel I have a good break-in going with variable running in twisty local area roads here.
I would still treat it as a current break-in underway.

So what do you all think?
Put the parts on now or wait till the 1000 mile mark?
Of course I am itching to install...

Thanks for some wisdom/opinion.

They're (parts) not doing any good sitting on the floor. Put them on.

Adding pipes, intake and more fuel has nothing to do with break-in. How you ride it does.

You could have put that stuff on as soon as you got home from the dealer. Personally, I would go with the SE Tuner over the XIED, but in either case, no time like the present.

If you need to take it to the dealer under warranty I'd remove said parts and install original.

Don't give them a reason to void warranty.

My dealer put a set of Rush 2.0 pipes on my bike when it was on the dealership floor, before I even saw it for the first time.

When I bought it, there was only 5 miles on it, but it had the new pipes. (2012 103 Heritage)

I've had it for a year and super happy with the bike. The only problem has been a faulty front brake reservoir that needed to be rebuilt which they did at no cost and it works fine now.

Thanks gentlemen. They're on and plugging in the xied's now.
Gotta say V&H 3" twin slash slip-ons are fricken loud!
Kind of frustrating that Harley exhaust goes from stock quiet to fricken loud with very little in between.

So I ordered these slip-ons with also purchasing the quiet baffles.
The dealer got ONE quiet baffle in... no more until February.
WTF! Lotta good that does me. (V&H is back ordered till Feb)
F**K

I'll continue my proper break-in on the few ridable days there are...

Had a friend hall all my parts home from the dealer, (I rode the bike home from the dealer). The next afternoon when I got home from work, I put them on.

I dont know who would tell you its to early to install them. Most buyers have an A/C, pipes, tuner and some other add ons done before they take delivery of the new bike. My buddy had his 2012 SG done before he even signed paperwork on it.

Plenty of guys will tell you NOT to install them for reasons like:
1.) Warranty void.
2.) Effect break-in procedures.
3.) Cause a Solar eclipse
4.) High tide.
5.) Exhaust gasket break-in requirements.

Yadda, yadda, yadda....
