Thumbs up Storage Locker

Well went out with a friend of mine who does estate sales to a storage locker auction. They were looking for some furniture for their college kids appartment. Well got to this one locker and yep just what they were looking for. Bid and won the locker for $2000.. Well after digging through all the kitchen furniture, living room furniture and stuff got to this blanket figured it was more boxes and tv... Well pulled off the blanket and there sat a 1991 Sportster 883 with just 8000 miles on it. I looked it over and the battery was purchased in 2011 so pulled it out,, looked it over and it was clean, no oil drips and tires in fantastic shape. Trailered it home, drained all the fluids and changed,, new fuel,, cleaned out the carb with some spray cleaner and first crank fired right up!!! Now he is very happy with his new toy!!!

Sounds like you need to go with him more often.

All people exist, but very few actually live.

That's awesome. A guy deserves something good to happen every once in a while.

Great find but please make sure those tires are not dry rotted. Check the mfg date and if they are old they can look fine but could be dry rotted. Please don't find out on the road the hard way. Again great find. Wish I had half that kind of luck.

Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."
