For you all using Synthetic......
What weight are you running?
I tried doing a search........but everytime I started a search
I get an error saying "you used less then 4 words in your
search...etc" Even though I used more then 4 words.
I'm sure this is talked about to death, but I can't find anything.
I think a "sticky" would be nice on the start page.
Anyway, back to oil. I work part time at a NAPA store, so
I can get about any oil from Royal Purple, Mobil one, Castrol,
Shell Rotella,....pretty much name it.
I use Royal Purple in my car, and other bikes. I use Maxcycle
in my other bikes, but they use a clutch shared with engine
oil.
I don't see much in my owners manual, other then using Harley
oil, and I don't have a problem with that, other then traveling all the way to the dealer. I also can get WIX filters, even the chrome
one, so I"ll be using those.
Bike is a 2000 XL1200S "Sportster Sport".
I'd like some suggestions from those inclined, on a good
year round weight for here in the midwest. I won't be riding
in under 40 degrees very often, so I'm more concerned in
oil for 70 to 100 degree days here in the midwest.
Thanks for all input on type and weight.
Regards Sonny
