Softail Crossbones suspension issues.

I have a 2008 Crossbones with about 5500 miles on it and
my right shock keeps blowing out on me. This is the 4th time
that I will have to replace them. I ride solo and drive normally. Not sure what is causing this. Any ideas out there.

The only ryme or reason I could see a shock blowing out....continiously, would be a crooked mount, forcing the shock to compress on an angle, not linear, prematurely taking out the seals.

Loosen the shock, and take it off. Now....slide it back on, with a level on the outside, or lateral edge.

If the shock is kept level, and bottoms out on any one mount first, before the other, then it's being forced to mount on the remaining mount, twisting shock, changing it's geometery during function.

All of this is, of course, total BS, if you weigh 450 lbs or more....
