1981 Sturgis fork tube oil??

What weight oil should I use in these tubes?

I would use Harley Light duty fork oil or Amsoil makes a synthetic fork oil that I have used in my Shovelheads I used to own.

I really doubt that it was anything specially formulated for this appllication.

I am sure someone here knows what it REALLY was that Harley stuck a label on and sold for 6 times the price. LOL!

You can buy fork oil anywhere, not just from HD. Any motorcycle shop carries 10wt fork oil. I run Belray in mine.....

It's a 41mm front fork, so it takes 10.2 oz of fluid. If you rebuilt them, then 11.2 oz.
