Fork brace for 07 WG to hide seals!?!?

Well I have found out the problem with the dust caps on my new chrome sliders!! Buyers of chrome lowers, beware of cheap immitations! Have we all heard this before? The sliders I bought for my WG project look great.........BUT....... when it was time to install the chrome dust caps, the chrome plating was to thick for the caps to slip back on, I tried to use a little "manipulation" to install them with no avail. HD parts are machined so after plating, the diameter of the slider is closer to factory measurement so the caps slip right on. So my idea to resolve this issue is to find a fork brace that might cover up the seals and leave the caps off. I have found that fork braces for the 49mm forks aren't real easy to find in different styles. Does anyone have any ideas about specific brands that will "hide" the seals.

Thanks

Marshall

Have you considered fork boots ? They're coming back into style ... especially if you're doing a black out on your bike .
