Air ride
While changing out my latest chrome, the swing arm. I thought I'd show how nice n compact the L3 legends system is. It fits almost unnoticable and was a very simple install. The ride softness is unmatched, and the Lady even approves. I'm only typing this cause it's that nice, she has no problem taking long rides with me anymore.
As much as we like the ride, it is not without draw backs. Like the fact there is no ride height feedback, so I bought the optional pressure gauge thinking this will solve that issue, not, well only partially. ride height can only be set with gauge if the load of the riders is over 300 lbs. this is be cause the bike starts to rise at 90psi and will stay on 90 psi all the way to the top of the suspension travel before the gauge starts to climb. This is fine when the Lady rides cause then I pump it to 120 psi before we get on & height is right on. But when by myself, the correct ride height is before it reaches top suspension travel. So I've got wretch my turkey neck around and look before take off. That leads into the other flaw, the fact it's so pillowy, If you get off without deflating it goes into motocross mode and looks pretty stupid. So when ever you pull into park, people look at you like you just blew a tire cause it goes PISSSSSSSSSS. So I just say thank God for runflats. It's been over a year of trouble free operation. Any other feedback out there? I think they should be standard equip for true softails.

Very nice. Having air ride is a great improvement. As for being "Standard Equipment", I'd just be happy if they made bikes that didn't run so lean, you could cook off the rockerboxes............
Air ride IS standard on the RKs and Ultra.....(outboard shocks) just not on the Softails. Considering a good system is in the $600-700 range, It's worth it to me.

Apparently, the smell of buring Cam2 isn't appealing to everyone, like it is to me...........
