rim split causing blowout

anyone ever hear of a stock oem 40 spoke rim splitting on an ultra? - got an 8" split pinching tube - caused blowout at 80 mph - rear wheel - had to buy new pants

Mine did it on my Road King Classic, luckily I was parked at my fathers house when I heard the hissing of air. I thought I had picked up a nail and almost crapped myself when I saw what had happened.

Mags can develop cracks. Been happening for years.

Look around. Almost every major city has a company that welds and polishes mags after they crack.
