i dont think you will regret it one bit. .i had them put in my v-rod and it was the best thing i think i could have done... well i had it lowered while i was at it

People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs.

Just put my new fork springs in on my 2005 XL1200C. What a bear! Had to push down of the spring while trying to get the top cap on. Had to jack front end up to take pressure off forks. Easy job other than that. Took 1 hour. Had to rent a 1 3/8 socket w/ 3/4" drive ratchet from tool supply place. Rides so much better. No more bottoming out on bumps and no nose diving when front braking. A bit stiffer but nice.

I'm looking forward to getting some miles on mine, once the weather breaks.

Ok Stang whats the word on the springs, I know you have some miles on them now. This is on my winter list of things to do and would value your feed back.

I have over 11,000 miles on the springs, the ride is great, it handles nice, and doesn't dive when you grab the brakes as bad as the stock set up.

That being said, it does bottom out, a little easier than I would like. I've hit some bumps that I don't think it should have bottomed out and it did.

I still say the rear shock upgrade was more than worth it tho, I wouldn't go back to the stockers if they paid me to.

Thanks stang, I put the 940's on mine this summer and have to agree with you there. I hate the dive of the front end, but I dont want to bottom out either....hmmm

I was gonna look into either more oil, or a heavier oil, to remedy that problem.

I have had some bone jarring hits, so something needs to change.

I have the cartridges as well..they are awesome..I would say that if you hit a pothole hard enough you bottom out with anything. I have 7000 happy miles.

Like I said, I've hit some road imperfections that it shouldn't have bottomed out on. I understand larger potholes.

I wonder if heavier oil would help the stock springs to stiffen them up a bit? Im gonna put a set of 12 inch monkey bars on over the winter so I figured I might as well do it then.
