lowering brackets for Dyna

Any opinions on the lowering brackets that move the shocks back to lower the bike. I would imagine that shorter shocks would be best, but for less $ I am curious if anyone has the lowering brackets and what they think about them. Any troubles, crappy ride etc? Looking at lowering my 08 Super Glide an inch in the rear. Thanks.

Oh and i tried using the search on here but it's stupid. Kept telling me I wasn't putting in enough words regardless of how many words I typed in.

I just installed a pair on my sporty, turned into a family project seemed like the whole forum was helping me. I have progressive shocks on my bike went from 11.5-12.5 needed to lower the bike, installed the shocks and they were hitting the frame had to place spacers between the shock and the frame to get them to work with the lowering blocks, tested them out today all is well.

I used a set once and wasn't thrilled. They semed to make "clicking" noises when I went over bumps.

They were the "Burley" ones, make from aluminum, if that matters.

Don't do what the gov. does and shortcut everything. Save up for the right way and get shorter shocks. You'll like the ride improvement. Rode a Street Bob with stock shocks (mine) and with Progressives that were 1" shorter (friend's). Don't know if they were 412s or 440s. Riding confidence improved and the bumps were handled with that BMW feel vs. the normal (but still good) feel.
