FLHX grind on left hand turns

My bike (2007 Street Glide) lets out an awful scraping sound when i take a sharp left hand turn, i think its the kickstand rubbing the ground, anybody else have this problem, and more importantly a way to fix it?

It only happens when I turn pretty sharply, but it happens enough to really annoy me, and I am not going to adjust how i ride my bike through corners to overcome it, if I can avoid it.

Maybe you have a weak spring, they sell those pieces that you put on your frame and the kickstand locks into it, I think it holds the kickstand in a little tighter to the frame.

Have you looked to see if anything is scraped, or what, exactly?

I haven't really taken a look, its just me and my twin two year olds home, I'm sure they'd be willing to hold up daddy's bike, but i don't know how able they are.

I guess i just thought it was normal for this model, I rode an FXD before this and just figured they didn't set up the touring models for tight corners. I know that the suspension is low from the factory, and figured the stand was hanging way down there, and gave a little yelp to let you know when you were leaning her a bit too much. Reading this now, it seems a little silly, its due for an oil change anyways, I'll have a look when they've got it up at the dealer.

Nobody else with a Street glide experiences this?

Maybe i need to lose a few lbs!

First off the SG sits one inch lower than the rest of the touring models and Yes, I scrap the kick stand all the time on left turns, if you really want to test it, with the stand down, coat the front edge and around the bottom outter edge with lipstick, drive it then where you know it scraps and see where the lipstick is missing, lipstick because it's red and easy to see and once you're done, easy to wipe back off. Now a far as using the wifes lipstick...I don't know about that Best T
