Look at a company called Biketronics, they sell an adapter that is good for Sony and Pioneer radios. Biketronics Inc

There are probably other companies out there that make those you may just have to do some research. Sony and Pioneer make good radios. also check out eGlideGoodies I think they may sell some radio stuff. Good luck. Click on this link, this may help you out for multiple radio manufacturers. www.eglidegoodies.com/id179.html

Biketronics has some good stuff, and they include the weatherproofing since most of their radios are those intended for cars.
One word of warning regarding EGlideGoodies: If you buy anything from them that is even remotely connected to "electrical" you cannot return it. I got burned on that policy when I bought an LED light bar from them earlier this year. When it arrived I put it up against the bike (still in the shrinkwrap, unopened) and didn't like how it was going to look. I called them for return instructions and they said "No returns on electrical items".
Once bitten, twice shy...

we used a jensen ho radio and some j&m speakers its very easy just plug in play with a few extra cords. its very simple all but mounting the damn radio is kinda a pain in the ass but if you have basic skills you can do it

Honestly, if you are going to put the time and money into it, you should really just spend the money and get a factory Harley stereo, I know they are expensive but I believe that they use Harmon Kardon, I know the stereo on my 05 Ultra Classic is awesome sounding, even on the highway at 90mph it sounds great and s as clear as can be.

Looking like this is the direction I am leaning. Harley Davidson FLHTP Standard Radio Package not crazy about another SONY but the least expensive install kit with bezel is close to $200...anyone used this kit?.....next closest price shipped I could find on identical kit was $100 more.....

I use the pioneer radios. Arc audio amplifiers and prefer the Hertz speakers. been selling these installs to all the dealers in my area and they blow away the biketronics and hog tunes stuff. although it does take some skill and wiring to install.
