1998 FLHTC Glide

I went for a long ride Sunday, and when we stopped for lunch, I had the appearance of oil, down my right side of the bike. There we splatters on right saddle bag, engine, heads, but all on the right side. I checked the crankcase oil, it was still in the same spot, as before the ride. I removed the air filter cover, and there was a little bit in the bottom of the cover, and some gas,.. it appeared to be gas and oil...

Did I blow a seal, or what? Any ideas? I get the 40,000 mile check up friday...

thanks in advance

Your bike breaths through the head, how does your air cleaner look, is it soaked with oil?

I had the same problem with my bike, thought it was leaking from the air cleaner, found out it was the pushrod o-ring on the front exhaust valve, it was blowing oil back on the rear floorboard, saddlebag, and exhaust.

dale,

Got it back today, from 40,000 mile check up... they couldn't find anything, and no oil in air filter... they said on the 1340 it sometimes blows back, and especially high rpm and highway speeds.. ever heard that before..
