The battery tender is designed to do just that but if it's piece of mind you're looking for then take the battery out and charge it up every now and then . I leave my batt. in all winter with the tender on ... also the car I store over the winter .

If mine's (bike) in the garage, the Battery Tender is on it.

Keep in mind, Battery Tender brand is a float charger and will not overcharge your battery, and will stop function in the event of a short.

Not all brands are created equal.

My Yousa battery in my Honda race bike: 6 years.

My fiber-cell HD battery: 7 years.

A friend's Fiber-cell HD battery in his 2001 RK: 8 years.

All with a Battery Tender brand maintainer.

Coinicie....coincida.... Koincidq..... Dude!! Is it a Goocher?

Harldy.........!!

Mine plugged in and left on all winter! Battery Tender will stop in the event of issues.

Thumbs up Winter?

I leave mine on all "summer". Have for the last two years, I leave the bike in Florida and go north for the summer.

When my bikes parked in the garage, the battery tender is hooked up to it...has automatic circuit protection so there is no chance of an overcharge..paid $35, best insurance you can have for the life of your battery...

I hate the f'ing sound of that. I am in denial and rode my bike to work today and probably tomorrow too. The deadline for me is November 1st. Thats all I got. Nothing for how many months.............5-6 months?

Sorry...... yeah I'll put my tender on,set it and forget it. My son bought me the HD one. Very nice one. I'm sure theres cheaper.
