Engine Stalls

I need some thoughts on a problem I am having. I have a 2007 RK. Last week it suddenly started an occasional backfire when decelerating, and after riding for a while then coming to a stop the engine will drop clear out and die if I don't keep it running with the throttle. I can hear it trying to die out as I slow down through the gears. What has me confused is that I didn't think there were any actual adjustments available on the EFI engines, so it must be a mechanical solution.

Thanks -
Chris

Thank you. I'm new to both HD and fuel injection, have a lot to learn.

Only 1 mechanical adjustment on the '07 Delphi FI , the base idle screw and that shouldn't be messed with . All other FI adjustments are done with the HD service computer software .
More likely is that you got some bad gas from the pump , a pretty common problem , water in the gas .

Is it happening all the time or just ocasionally? Try returning your throttle all the way to low/stop (in nuetral) after you give it a rev and see if it clears up after. Working on a theory that the electronics is losing it place
sometimes in relation to the mechanical throttle

To reset the TPS cycle the ignition on and off 4 times with hands off the throttle .
For electronic throttles only .

Is it me, or are we seeing more and more of this issue?

I'm thinking that all those similar symptom posts are because the people aren't taking the time to do a forum search before posting .
