I have seen them mounted in several locations . If you keep the windshield on always you can glue it to the inside bottom of the windshield and run the wire up along the bars . There is also a handlebar clamp with a mounting pad to put the antenna on . If you want it hidden you can install it inside the nacelle but you'll have to play with the location due to all the metal around it . I've even seen them under the seats but again you would have to experiment with location .
