Is the 2010 ultra classic cvo worth the money?
I bought a 2009 ultra classic and have put many a happy mile on it this summer and love it. I looked at the 2010 ultra cvo and was very impressed. I don't know if it would be worth the money to trade for the cvo? I heard from the dealer that the cvo losses value at a greater rate than the standard ultra. Any thoughts?

jgt... The CVO Ultra is impressive, but I don't believe it is worth the $$$ to trade. I rode an '07 CVO Road King for two problem free years. Traded it for an '09 Street Glide this past summer. The CVO held its value well. So why did I trade? Subjectively, the CVO was just too purty, too shiney, too glitzy. I paid premium $$$ for stuff I didn't really care about. Here's another kicker, after a test ride on the 96" Street Glide, could hardly tell a power diff versus the 110". Maybe my butt dyno needs recalibration, but more likely, I'm just not one to hammer the H-D, nor do I ride at the high RPM range. Net, for my $$$, the CVO is not worth the premium unless you really want a chromey, loaded with accessories bike, and think the modest power bump would be useful. HTH.

Is the 2010 ultra classic cvo worth the money?
Your call!! You are like the rest of us, you are making a decision on a "want", not a "need". Most of us have at least one cage sitting around, some more than one, so owning and riding H-D is a desire not driven by necessity, but out of wanting the best (IMHO), desired by others. Worth it? Only if you RIDE it!!!

If you are planning to do everything to the bike that Harley has already done to it, I'd say yes, it is worth it. But if you are not into all that customizing, and just want a good bike to ride, then I'd say no. My stock 2009 FXD could take me an Osama Bin Laden down the road fast enough to scare him into converting to Judaism. Throw on a K&N intake, speed tuner, and a good exhaust, all for around $1k, and you will have a super performing big twin.
No, it won't be a custom bike, but it will be a machine that you can ride the wheels off without breaking the bank and it will still look great.

A couple months ago I was in the market for an Ultra and I very, VERY briefly looked at the Ultra CVO. After recovering from the sticker shock, I instead bought an Ultra Limited.
I consider it a nice compromise between the normal Ultra and the CVO and a LOT less $$$ than the CVO.
I personally am not too concerned with the trade-in value of my bike,
since I bought to ride - not to trade in...

I think the Electraglide Ultra Limited is the better bang for your buck of the 2.

Trading your 2009 in on the 2010 would not be a good deal for you.
You would lose at least $4000.00 on your 09, with very little off the cvo.
Besides your not going to smile more on the cvo going down the highway.
