I just bought an 05 back in November from my local dealer. it had a hitch on it when I bought it, but the dealer said with my extended warranty I put on the bike, it would be voided as long as I had a hitch on the bike. He said an adjuster would see it and void it right away. Pisses me off, but I don't wanna lose the warranty. So, the hitch sits in my shed for the next four years. :mad

My 2008 Road Glide has been ridden across the Copper Canyon region of Mexico, including the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts from Texas to Tijuana. It has made the 4 Point tour across America Keywest Fl. (south)/ Quoddy Point Mn.(east)/ Cape Alava Wa. (west)/ including up and down western Canada and and everywhere in Alaska as far up as the Arctic Circle (north) on the Dalton Highway and Anchor Point/Homer Spit (west) in Alaska. In 2012 she was shipped to Bremerhaven Germany where I rode her for two years and over 11,000 miles all throughout Europe.

Because chrome don't get you home I would say she cleans up better well.

The engine is a stock 96 with Bubs Rinehart's and D&M intake. I programmed the Power Commander for mid range passing power and to run slightly richer at cruising as I spent a lot of time desert riding. The heat shields are powder coated with high temp reflective material bonded to the inside and ceramic spacers. I painted the inner fairing a year before the CVO came out theirs and installed J&M speakers. Over a period of time the chrome has been powder coated to match the Candy Red Sunglo factory paint as well as the rims and rotors. The factory suspension has been changed out with Progressive 440's on the rear to give me "on the fly" adjust-ability and Revtech cartridge emulators in the front forks. The seat was made by Cody and shipped to me from Washington state. The wind shield was custom sized and tinted by Clark and shipped to me in Fairbanks, Ak. The bike has ABS and I use EBC HH sintered brake pads for superior grip and because of my desire to go hot into the corners along with a lot of mountain and canyon riding I have warped 3 sets of rotors on the front. Tires were changed in Juneau, Ak, Jackson Hole, Wy, Boston, and Munich, Germany. The Harmon Kardon stereo failed in Italy so I went to Bluetooth speakers in the helmets until the bike returned to Texas where I replaced the unit with a nice Sony. At that time the dash lights where changed over to red. Other than tire changes and a starter drive replacement in Vancouver, all other work and maintenance has been performed by myself. The bike has 57,000 miles on the clock.
